英語でなんて言うでしょう？
今注目のあの言葉を英語で紹介します。
今日は「回顧録」です。

Memoir：回顧録
発音は/ ˈmemwɑːr /です。

memoir はアングロ・フランス語の memorie「note, memorandum, something written to be kept in mind」から来ていて、その語源はラテン語の memoria「remember：思い出す、記憶する」です。

memoir と似た言葉に autobiography という言葉があり、自叙伝などと訳されますが、この二つの語を比べると、autobiography の方がより「包括的な、時系列な的、系統だった」構成、「（感情的ではなく）事実」を記す形式になっていることが多いようです。

ちなみに tell-all というと「すべて話す」、つまり「暴露」の意味になり、tell-all memoir で「すべてを暴露する回顧録」などのように表現できます。
