英語には実は母音が25種類もあります。知識として勉強しておかないと後悔します。このブログでは、従来、発音記号でしか表記できなかった25種類の母音をカタカナ母音で見える化しています。英語の発音がわからないという人はぜひチェックしてみてください！
今日は高橋ダンさんという youtuber の動画をご紹介します。ダンさんはもともとウォール街でトレーダーをしていて、現在は日本をベースに活躍されています。
ダンさんはアメリカ事情に詳しく、動画では投資、経済、国際社会について、日本であまり報道されない記事も取り上げつつ、日本との比較も交えながら解説していて、とても勉強になります。
特筆すべきは、動画の内容もさることながら、英語版でも配信してくれている点です。英語が不安な人は日本語の動画で内容を把握してから英語版を見るのも一案だと思います。
動画を見ながらシャドーイングするのがおすすめです。スクリプトがあったら便利だなと思い、テキストにしておきました。カタカナ母音も併記してありますので英語の発音が分からない人は活用してみてください！
おすすめのシャドーイング方法は、4回繰り返しです。スクリプトを見ずに1回、英語スクリプトで1回、カタカナ母音で1回、もう一度スクリプトを見ずに1回行う方法です。
英語の発音に自信がある人はカタカナ母音のパートをスキップして問題ないです。逆に、子音・母音、音の連結、音の脱落などがわからないという人は、カタカナ母音のパートで動画再生の速度を0.75倍速、0.5倍速まで落としてじっくり確認すると、25種類の母音がイメージでき、シャドーイングも上達すると思います。

Overall, the biggest news on the day that I saw, it's clearly this Moderna, vaccine trials are going very very well. Antibody treatments are going very well.
It seems that the number of antibodies produced in most, most of the clinical trial patients seem to be in the upper half range for those people producing antibodies who were recovering from coronavirus.
So this is a very very good indication for the world.
That seems to me that maybe this is the reason why the global stock markets are not seeming to care that much when even, cases are rising worldwide as perhaps they were expecting this type of news.

I don’t think that the news regarding Hong Kong and sanctions is actually that big of a deal. This is very very widely expected.

And I also think Bank of Japan, although this is no news whatsoever and nothing was new, it's still very very important to keep an eye on the fact that interest rates have been near zero for nearly 20 years.
This has been as far as I’ve seen the only country across any developing country.
And it's very very important for people especially Japan or non-Japan to realize that this low interest policy that we’ve been sort of going on.
Basically all the world has been, it all, almost all the central banks across the world are enacting low interest rate polices and they’ve been doing this since about 2009, 2010, 2011.
So most of the world has been doing it for 10 years, Japan's been doing it for 20.
So it’s just once in a while important to look at the big picture and realize, guys, this is the way we’re heading.
Japan's had low interest rates for 20 years.
It still hasn’t produced inflation. No to the U.S., no to the US, no to the ECB, no to Australia, no to a lot of other countries even including China.
Low interest rates does not mean more inflation.
So that was also to me what I thought was a big piece of news.
