今日ニュースを見ていたら「日本、脱コロナは２２年４月 ワクチン接種出遅れ―英調査」という見出しの記事がありました。「脱コロナ」って英語でなんて言うでしょう？

「脱コロナ」は英語で reach to herd immunity
冒頭でお話した記事はこちらです。
記事では、「英医療調査会社エアフィニティーは８日、新型コロナウイルスのワクチンが各国・地域で普及し、社会が日常に戻る時期を予測した調査結果を発表した。」と報じられていました。ということでエアフィニティー社が発表した調査結果を探してみたところ、こちらを見つけました。

9ページ目の「back to normal Immunization forecasts」の内容を記事にしているようです。おそらく見出しの下にある reach to herd immunity を「脱コロナ」と訳したんじゃないかなと思います。herdは「群れ、群衆」、herd immunity で「集団免疫」という意味です。
発音
ˈriːtʃ tə həːrd iˈmjuːnəti
herd の発音は「聞く」の過去形 heard と同じです。
immunity の t は弱い d の音になることが多いです。
日本語では「脱」が使われているので、コロナから「遠ざかっていく」感じがしますが、reach to herd immunity だと、集団免疫によって抵抗できる状態に達する、という感じがします。
community immunity、population immunity、social immunity と言い換えても集団免疫の意味になります。
例文
When we vaccinate enough people, we protect those people with depressed immune systems. This is called herd immunity.
十分な人数のワクチン接種を行うと、免疫システムが低下している人たちを守ることができます。これが集団免疫です。
When enough of a population is vaccinated, even if it's not 100%, the herd can protect the unprotected. With vaccine refusal on the rise, our herd immunity is breaking down.
100%に達しなくても十分な人数のワクチン接種が行われれば、免疫を持たない人を守ることができます。ワクチン接種の拒否率が上がると、集団免疫は機能しなくなります。
